These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of www.mygisagent.com (the “Site”) and the services of Global Insurance Services, Inc., also known as MyGISAgent (“Global Insurance Services,” “we,” “us” or “our”), including our text messaging program. By using the Site or our services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
About our services
Global Insurance Services is an independent insurance agency licensed in Massachusetts. We help you compare and buy insurance from the insurance companies we represent. We are not an insurance company: your policy is issued by the insurance company that underwrites it, and your coverage is governed by that policy.
Quotes and coverage
- Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and on each insurance company’s rates and rules at that time. Your final premium may change after the insurance company reviews your application, driving and claims history, and other underwriting information.
- Submitting a form, sending a message or receiving a quote does not start, change or cancel coverage. Coverage begins only when it is confirmed by one of our licensed agents or by the insurance company, and the terms of your policy apply.
- Please give us complete and accurate information. Inaccurate information can affect your price, your eligibility or a future claim.
- Information on the Site is general and is not legal, tax or financial advice. Coverage descriptions are summaries; your policy documents control.
Text messaging terms (SMS and RCS)
Global Insurance Services customer messaging sends quote follow-ups, policy updates, payment and renewal reminders, and service messages to customers who have opted in.
- How to opt in: give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, for example by choosing “Text” as your preferred contact method on our website, texting us first, or giving permission to one of our agents during a call or office visit. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying any product or service.
- Message frequency varies based on your requests and your policy activity.
- Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
- To stop messages, reply STOP to any message (CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE and STOPALL also work). You will receive one message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages unless you opt in again by replying START. You can also opt out in any other reasonable way, such as replying “stop texting me” or telling one of our agents, and we will honor your request promptly.

- On devices and networks that support RCS (Rich Communication Services), messages may appear with our verified business name and logo, rich content and read receipts. When RCS is not available, messages are delivered by SMS or MMS.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Mobile numbers, text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Carrier Pay Directory and other websites
The Site links to insurance companies’ own websites so you can pay your bill or manage your policy. Those websites are run by the insurance companies, not by us. Payments go directly to the insurance company under its own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party websites, their content or their availability. If you have any question about a payment, please confirm it with your insurance company or call us.
Using the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes, to provide information that is true and that you are authorized to give, and to respect the security and normal operation of the Site.
Intellectual property
The content of the Site, including text, graphics, logos and design, belongs to Global Insurance Services or its licensors. Insurance company names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are shown to identify the companies we work with. You may view and print pages of the Site for your personal use.
Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Global Insurance Services and its employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our text messaging program. Nothing in these Terms limits our responsibilities as a licensed insurance agency or any rights you have under the law or under your insurance policy.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute about these Terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the Site or our text messaging program after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
